Just a Dream is a foundation that started from a Chef’s desire to provide others love and attention through the culinary arts. The kitchen traditionally is a place where families get together during the good and hard times. The non-profit organization is just starting; the plan is that their company Kitchen Table LLC, for which we designed the logo as well, will build a demo kitchen for cooking demonstration and small parties. All the profits from Kitchen Table will go to support the Just a Dream Foundation, which will use the kitchen for cooking demonstrations for kids and the elders, gather volunteers to prepare meals to food shelters. Just a Dream will also allow other foundations to use the space to raise funds for their causes. People can help by spreading the word. The company website justadreamfoundation.org should be up and running in a couple of months.


When we talked to founder Chef Eliana Schmidt for the creation of the image for the organization she had a vision of what she wanted her logo to look like. We listened and transformed that vision into reality. Eliana did not want any icon that would resemble the word “dream”, she thought it would look too childish. We took an element that represents what the foundation is all about “the Chef Hat” and incorporated it into the name, using a cursive friendly font. The color blue ties in both logos, Just a Dream and Kitchen Table.


We wish Just a Dream all best in such a great cause. We are currently designing and printing the organization’s business cards and other stationery.
