Vermont Center for Children, Youth, and Families
The Logo design for Vermont Center for Children, Youth, and Families was a great challenge. VCCYF is the largest child psychiatry center in Vermont. The Center is based at the University of Vermont, College of Medicine.
They have created a new approach to child psychiatry that is based on health promotion, illness prevention, and family based intervention.
When creating the logo we took the colors and general feel of the University logo so they look cohesive when used together. We took the keywords, Family, children, Youth, Wellness to design the brand.
The characters not only resembles Family but also by having them in different sizes it represents the 3 phases, childhood, youth, and adulthood. We also added a childish stroke of the Mountains of Vermont.
The end result is a of this medical logo design is very corporate but also friendly enough for children and teens.
