Lily and Lane a baby's Boutique Logo
Designing a logo for a babies' Boutique is always a fun and unique project. Lily and Lane is an one stop online baby store. The owners of this family business knew they wanted a modern logo, simple and cute.
We wanted to design a cute logo that would appeal to both boys and girls. We wanted to create an icon that would represent the brand. Animals have always been used as powerful brand icons from the Lacoste crocodile to the dove from hollister. Animals contain universal meaning and we as designers always try to create a fast association with the brand by using the values of the animal to reflect the company.
An Eagle symbolizes freedom and power, a bull symbolizes wealth and potency. An elephant, which is the icon we picked for the company stands for Reliability, Power and as a Chinese symbol it is considered happiness and good luck... and of course a lime green elephant with hearts coming out of its trunk is also very cute!!!
The fonts used are very handwritten and uneven giving the impression of a child's writing. We also designed and printed business cards and stationery for Lily and Lane.
